Gawker Artists

I’m still working on the placement and layout of the whole thing but I’m going to be featuring the Gawker Artist banners - instead of advertising.

It just looks better.

I’ll get it all figured out soon. I wish their banners were just a little bit wider.

In the meantime - lemme know what you think.

Cheers

New Works Afoot

Most of the action on this millsworks web site is happening over in the Blog section.

Occasionally I post here - usually a short video.

I had intended to do a lot more on these front pages of the site than what has actually been produced. I get busy. I get distracted. I get lazy. Leave me alone.

Threedie Ceegie is one project that has yet to come anywhere near started.

There are lots of others. The road to hell is paved with good intentions. My intentions can only be considered as supremely the best - which assures me a front row seat to the seventh circle. Sort of like the Dante Family Circus. Fits and starts - a bit here and a bit there - stacks of unfinished works hovering ominously over my shoulder.

I have a great poster of a beleagured librarian somewhere that I should attach to this post - but I’m too lazy right now to go take a picture of it. See how that works? I’m writing a post about how I don’t get posts done properly and in the midst of it I don’t even get this post fully done.

Ah well.

Things change.

New works and further attempts at the current batch are nearing completion. I have a regular Thursday gathering of like-minded compatriots which is spurring me to actually engage in — shudder — work. Of course, we meet at Rhino’s so … well … they say lubrication helps wheels turn better … and … oh well … we do have fun.

Egad.

A bit here. A bit there. In time it will all come tumbling out and reveal itself here (and in other web sites) as a growing online oeuvre which has been percolating in my alleged mind over these past seven years. Seven frickin’ years. That’s a long time for some people. My changes come in seven year modules. I’m used to it. Others look at me and shake their heads and wonder aloud: “What the hell are you doing?!”

The answer, of course, is: “Nothing.”

Not much anyway.

Not yet anyway.

But soon - and for the rest of our lives.

Yeah - right - and we’ll always have Paris.

Stay tuned.

Cheers.
