There’s a lot I can say - and maybe shouldn’t say - don’t get me started - please - about everything that’s happening south of our borders. But I do think it’s profound when a political song in this day and age comes across not so much as a call to arms or exhortation to action - but as a prayer, a plea, as a sad and desperate cry to those of like minds.

It’s come to that.

What lies beyond isn’t something I want to rant about. A dream? Sure. Gotta have one. Park the fuckin’ cynicism at the door, bub. Give it a shot. At least for one last time. ‘Cuz this is the last shot yer gonna get. If you’re gonna believe anything - believe that. This is the last shot.

Dave Stewart and like minded friends have crafted a song and put out a video in support of what they believe is important and what they believe is possible.

I have bets down with my friend of ages, Bryan, that there isn’t even gonna be another election.

Yeah, sure, the fix is in. The voting machines are bent. The election officials are corrupt. Big oil and big business buy and own everything and everyone. Obama has a target tattooed on his head. The crap artists from the Nixon era who are currently running the joint and shitting gleefully in every corner have gone so far across the line there is no way they can simply hand over the reigns of power to another administration. An event will occur which precludes the exercise of democratic process.

Oh please - please - don’t get me started.
